Veronica Garcia, 23, is studying advertising with a minor in sociology at Texas State University. Veronica picked advertising as her path because she has always been interested in analyzing commercials and editing designs and flyers for the retailers she has worked for. She is the vice president of socials for the Advertising Club at Texas State and works part time at AT&T as a retail field representative. Veronica uses social media to stay connect with her friends and family, and she uses Linked In for professional networking. She previously had a summer internship where she created a mobile app of coupons for students. She is currently participating in a social media internship for Cici’s Pizza.

Twenty two year old Saige Termeulen is a mass communications major at Texas State University that sees herself ending up with a career in social media. She is the vice president of SEPA, the student event planners association, at Texas State. Saige has an internship with an event company in Austin, called Brass Tacks Events. She works to set up and coordinate events , and also overlooks their social media such as Facebook, Twitter, and Google +. Saige is an avid blogger and involves herself by staying up to date with social media.

Amy Marie Smith is a junior at Texas State University and is studying mass communications. She became involved in mass communications when she began taking related classes at Texas State. This past summer she was an English tutor in Germany, and hopes to do something like that again in the future. She is not positive of where her studies will take her, but Amy knows that electronic and social media are important aspects in her future. Amy uses Twitter, Tumblr, and blogs every day for personal use, to keep in touch with the news around the world, and to maintain a professional and personal online presence.

Twenty two year old Morgan Martens is a journalism major at Texas State University. Media has always been a huge part in Morgan’s life. She has always enjoyed keeping people informed and writing has come naturally. Morgan intends to further her writing skills and sharpen her ability to convey the news. She uses social media every day. She is now in the process of converting her main source of social media from Facebook to Twitter to adapt to the changing society.

Victoria Lasiter is a 20 year old public relations major at Texas State University. She is interested in the way people communicate and how people and companies represent themselves. This year she had a promotions internship where she updated the Hill Country Galleria’s Facebook, Twitter, and Google + accounts several times a day. Victoria likes to stay up to date using her Facebook.
